Rain

So far so good! I jump-roped yesterday and did some yoga. Macduff made sure to keep an eye on my posture and would sometimes stretch out as well as if to join me. The cats love having my yoga mat out in the kitchen and I like standing on it while I do the dishes. It’s pretty remarkable how such a subtle thing can remind you to remain grounded. Hopefully, I will be able to one day be grounded all the time without the reminder. But, for now, it’s a comfort to me. It feels a bit like training wheels.

I set up my paints and water mixtures to shoot some new footage yesterday. McGonagall was ready to investigate and watched from afar. She will sometimes become so interested in helping me that she will try to play in the paint water. I feel like a Mom with one eye on what I’m working on and the other on McGonagall, making sure she stays out of trouble. I used a piece of canvas drop cloth on the table in an attempt to keep things mildly clean. This method is sometimes challenging because McGonagall loves to play underneath blankets and sheets and canvas. She is mesmerized by when something moves behind it. For example, my legs, and she will quickly pounce. Always to my surprise. She is an excellent hunter in sneaking up on her prey.

I took some photos of my process along with a video of just the raw paint footage. Its been edited since I really did not like the colors I was working with but it’s just the plain paint before I do any work with layers.

It’s raining today. The snow is melting and the mist is growing in the woods. If there is a break in the rain I will try to walk to the coast to take some pictures! Until tomorrow! Thanks for reading!
